You have to know about Amore Clothing because it is not in a shopping center, or even in a shopping district where you are likely to walk in off the street. It is at the top of State Street in downtown Albany. The shop is small and unpretentious, but it is the place where lawyers, businessmen and other professionals buy their suits. Amore's is all about superb tailoring, quality and value. The styles are classic and the fabrics are beautiful and durable. Joe Amore started the business in 1967 and was joined by his son, Robert. Together they have built a devoted clientele by holding steadfast to their formula of quality and value. I have purchased suits elsewhere and paid more money. When I look in my closet, however, I know immediately which suits are Amore's.

Amore Clothing is an untarnished gem in a sea of regional mediocrity.  Joe's tailoring is unparalleled and his quick wit and old world charm make the little shop on State Street hill something special.  Robert's eye for bringing the best in uncompromising  European and American styling to the region should make Amore a must-see for any man that wants to be more than just dressed.   I may have spent way too many hours exploring the new lines, and have probably left with a new item of clothing in my hand on way too many occasions -- but never once have I ever questioned the value of my purchase.
